“Open Field” is an artist- run curatorial platform that develops concept-driven projects through evolving propositions.
Founded in 2026 by Liang Zhang and Xiaoxiao Wu.
Our location is spread across the greater Los Angeles Area and expanding.
Open Field is an artist-run curatorial platform that brings artists together through concept-driven projects. Rather than working within fixed themes, the platform begins with an open proposition that artists can respond to from their own perspectives and practices.
Open Field aims to create a space where different artistic approaches can meet, coexist, and develop new relationships. Projects are organized collaboratively, inviting artists from diverse backgrounds while maintaining a clear curatorial direction.
The platform supports exhibitions and experimental presentations that grow out of dialogue between artists, context, and the conditions in which the work is shown. By bringing together artists who may not usually exhibit together, Open Field hopes to create unexpected conversations and new possibilities for collaboration.
